Like other Designers, Marco steers clear of the limelight. When the topic turns to him personally, he graciously prefers to drift and melt away into the sidelines. However, like all other talented creatives, he thrives in his art. If you do manage to get to know him, and his vision, you’ll see that his passion to create original menswear made from authentic materials and honest processes is captivating and blinding. The last of our four part series, here we get to know the designer - the enigmatic soul behind the brand.
Founded in 2012, Marco Vedovato is the creative spirit behind Iter Itineris. Literally meaning “A journey into a Journey” in Latin, the brand is the culmination of his vision as a fashion designer, debonair gentleman and modern nomad.
Born in Treviso, Italy. Marco worked his way up as a consultant designer for many Italian brands such as The Benetton Group and Cerruti. In 2008, he joined the Armani Group as the R&D Manager for Armani Jeans and Emporio Armani due to his keen interest in fabric, finishing, and product research rather than only pure design.
Marco’s vision through Iter Itineris is seeped in understated elegance. It can be best described as Italian debonair design embodying modern nomad philosophy with an informal yet elegant style. Yes, he is a man of few words, but he’s one of those quiet characters that when you are around - you can feel his thoughts in motion. Always thinking of what’s next? How will this feel on the skin? Where will this garment be worn in the world? What is the story behind its meaning?
